The Thirty-First Judicial District Court is one of Louisiana’s 43 judicial districts and has original jurisdiction of all civil and criminal matters in Jefferson Davis Parish. There is only one elected judge in the Thirty-First Judicial District. There is also a Judicial Administrator for the Thirty-First Judicial District.

31ST JUDICIAL DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Due to the City of Jennings main water line break causing termination of water service for an unknown period of time, it is hereby ordered that the Thirty-First Judicial District Court and the Thirty-First Judicial District Court Clerk of Court’s Office shall be closed Friday, December 12, 2025 beginning at 12:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 8:30 a.m., pursuant to LSA-R.S. 1:55 (E) (2).
